GOLDEN VISA - Residency permits for Non- Europeans
New legal provisions provide the possibility for those who pursue investment activities in Portugal to apply for a Residence Permit:
- Property investment of at least 500.000€
- A transfer of capital to Portugal for at least 1.000.000€
- The creation of at least 10 job opportunities within Portugal.
The permit allows foreign nationals outside the EU to reside in Portugal and circulate within the Schengen countries without a visa for short periods of time in exchange for one of the following options:
The holders of a Golden Residence Permit for the purposes of investment activity have the right to family regrouping, and may gain access to a permanent residence permit, as well as to Portuguese citizenship in accordance with the current legal provisions.
